The pleasant surprise of 2025 was Pablo Silva BJJ. With a lean delegation of 63 athletes, it secured 17 golds, 12 silvers and 15 bronzes (44 medals). This makes the team from Minas Gerais the second most efficient in athletes per medal (1.43), second only to AOJ.
Gracie Barra, despite amassing 86 medals (28 golds, 20 silvers and 38 bronzes), brought the largest delegation to the tournament (232 athletes). With 322 points, the team took third place overall, but needed 2.70 athletes for each medal, showing that there is still room to improve competitive efficiency. [see results]
